get it from a private seller and save him a few thousands, buying from a dealer is no different(heck they probably know less about the car)

I have an 02 Silver with mint soft top (NO tears) and roughly 85,xxx miles, clean title I'll let go for $12k to anyone on this board.

Oh yeah totally, I'm sure whoever has/will smog it for the dealer will overlook that though. I'm almost positive they'll sell the car tha way too without telling whoever buys it. For someone that knows though It could be a little bit of cash dropped off the price tag.
