Bay Area Storm Heading This Way

I'm assuming this is the NFR ap2james spotted this morning: "Around 9am near SFO airport. Saw a NFR ap1 stuck on the shoulder cause of the flood. Hope everything is ok. I will upload the photos when I get home."

wow, i feel really bad for that NFR owner. hopefully the water didn't get into the cabin too. getting the motor rebuilt is bad enough, but might be a blessing in disguise, depending on its previous condition. hope everyone else stays above water and safe.
on my way to SoCal last month, i hit the CRAZIEST tule fog & dust/thunderstorm i've ever experienced (driven literally 100+ roundtrips between NorCal & SoCal). It was near zero visibility for like 20-30 miles on Highway 5, just past Coalinga. traffic was crawling at like 5 mph the whole way w/their hazards on. there was dust, tumbleweeds, other debris, & rain swirling all around.
i was afraid to get out and look at my S when we finally made it out of it. luckily, the exterior was pretty much unscathed, besides all the mud over the sides. the engine bay way a mess though. there was sand all over, but my HKS Powerflow filter was almost spotless. it was a really surreal experience. felt like being inside a tornado.

Damn that sucks. Check your tire pressures and make sure they're fully inflated. With the cold wether the pressure in your tires might be a bit low if you haven't added air in awhile. I just checked mine and they were 26 psi. Under-inflated tires are more prone to hydroplaning.

Yeah this is the one I saw. Sad to see this. What I heard was that he was still trying to start his car and it wouldn't start. What I assume is that he hydrolocked his motor. Also water did get into his cabin.

I was super cautious driving to work this AM... Was driving around 45 mph on the freeway with relatively new RE11As. When I did get close to work I finally was able to get the car sideways (first time!) in an empty parking lot... Wee!
