what kind of background are you looking to shoot? if youre going for the rustic look, you can head over to half moon bay area. if you are going for the industrial look, you can find plenty of good backdrops in the lower mission, 3rd ave, pacbell park area. if you are looking for natural backdrops, there are plenty of backroads. if you are looking for tourist type backdrops like the golden gate bridge, coil tower, etc then consult a tour guide book. if you have any specific ideas, you should let us know so we can give you options. you can shoot pretty much anywhere so long as the photographer is skilled enough and can make the shot look good. good luck

monterey! Was there yesterday for a drive and took some pics along 17 mile drive and the coast. weather was awesome for some weird reason! of all the times i've been to monterey, it's never been THAT nice.

well, if you're feeling really adventurous you could try to snap some quick pics in Hunter's Point. I don't think too many people have tried that.
