Bay Area Back Road Thread

Actually I think they did put some sealant down on jamison recently, like since the FnC drive.
Last time I was on 84 they had it closed and you had to take old la honda up to 35. The sheriff on duty at the detour screamed at me to "SLOW DOWN!" I smiled and waved.
As for Mt Charlie, it is not posted at either end of the road. If you use GPS you'll catch the turn offs easily enough though for your first time. One end is at Summit road, just northeast of 17 and the other end is on glenwood drive. Watch out for dog walkers and loose chickens/wild turkeys.
I heard good things about san juan bautista grade from the 350Z crowd but haven't been there myself.

Hey Folks,
As some of you know I'm new to the S2000 Owners Fam and I'd like to hear your suggestions on some of the best roads in the Bay to take the S out on! I've been in the Bay all my life so I know a lot cool roads, but I'm interested in hearing from you all.
My two favorite runs are as followed.
- Foothill Road in Pleasanton to Niles Canyon HWY 84. Then 84 all the way to HWY 1.
- Tesla Rd/Corral Hollow Road (Livermore to Tracy)
Let me know your favorites!

580 East to Palomares rd to Niles Canyon to Calaveras Rd to 680 south to Alum Rock up Mt Hamilton to James Lick Observatory(rest stop) Down the back side of the mountain on Hwy 130 (San Antonio Valley Rd) which turns into Mines Road that ends in Livermore.
Thats good for a 90+ mile loop that doesn't have a lot of traffic...
