Well I took my car to the dealer today (Capitol Honda) for a few minor things and a
possible alignment problem. The service advisor checked out the tire wear and the issue
with the paint on the front bumper peeling off. He popped the hood and noticed a bunch
of the screws on the front end (radiator area) had been removed and thinks that the
bumper has been repainted. Not a good thing to hear after buying what you think is a
new car. Not quite as bad as walking to where your car used to be and realizing that it's
been stolen but it's pretty close..
I have to return Monday to have the body estimator look at it to verify the service
advisors findings.
I spoke to the dealership where I purchased it and theyr'e looking into it.
I took a closer look at it and things seem a bit wierd. Glossy passenger shock tower
and flat left shock tower.

I bought it new from a Honda Dealer. Or I thought I did???
The dealers are allowed a certain dollar amount from what I hear to fix what
I would think is minor damage but this seems like it's more than that because
of the alignment issue. Other than the flaws on the bumper the paint on the
fender looks factory. I did notice the wheel weights on the passenger side
wheels are not placed straight like they are on the drivers side but I might be
looking into that too far, maybe I'll take a look at some other new cars.
Regardless of where the work was done, dealer, factory or transporters this
type of work should have been disclosed at the least. I have 5300 miles on
the car and the inside tread blocks of my front tires are down to the wear
bars. Definately not normal wear regardless of driving style.
I'll let you guys know what I find out on Monday when the estimator looks
at it.
I'd rather not say who the dealer is even though some of you already
know, only beacause it might not be there fault and they were by far
best dealer I've delt with when buying a new car.
