I'd go, but there is an SCCA auto-x that day at GGF, and sorry, SCCA rubs me better than NASA. Also, my friends will be at the SCCA one, I'm actually catching the leader in my class in points, and GGF is half the distance to Monterey.

I suggest you people join the SCCA, then you could come to the auto-x at the Laguna Seca paddock on June 17th, the day after the street school at thunderhill that I'm attending. That weekend will be really fun.

anal, perhaps, organized, yes...which is good if you are an organized type of person, which I am. Actually, the cars there are also more interesting to watch, and there are so many events that you recognize lots of people and make good acquaintances.

yeah, I autocross mainly to have fun, but since I'm accumulating points, that just adds to the fun if I win. I'll get my butt kicked next year when I'm not a novice no matter what class I run in, but it doesn't matter to me as long as I had fun doing it.

did I mention that GGF is half the distance to Monterey for us SJ people? Even closer for you east bay folks.
