Auto-X August 23rd-24th
American Auto-X Series has done the unthinkable and has gained access to Alameda NAS. For those of you that have ever wanted to do a NATIONAL'S Style Auto-X without having to drive to Atwater, CA this is your chance. This is a 2 DAY EVENT $50 each day, starting with 4 runs per person. Further info could be had here.

AAS is run by Jesus Villarreal and Frank Stagnero who are both MULTI TIME NATIONAL AUTO-X CHANPIONS!!!! They run an awsome event and if your not busy, you dont want to miss this.

Dammit, I am going to be out of town. I've always wanted to race on a big surface like Atwater (but I never made it out there before the big surface got closed). Alameda would be the next best place. Have fun.

There are no membership fee's required to run with AAS, Its just a show up, pay $50 and run. Newbies are always welcome. Your going to want to tell the registration table that your a newb and they should point you in the right direction. I would be more than willing to help you out but I have to work that weekend. You can run 1 or both days it's up to you.

I'm surprised that anyone who owns an S2000 would be sensitive to the entry fee -- especially if it gets you in to a site like Alameda with a course designer like Frank. I used to drive 120 miles out to the central valley and deal with the 100 degree heat, dust, and cow smells to go to their events. Having them at Alameda will be awesome. I think they are doing 4 runs because they are worried that they will get way too many people showing up to do 5.
I am going to try very hard to figure out how to go to the event on Saturday even though I have to drive up to Yuba City Saturday night for a wedding on Sunday.

Stephen, If I didnt have to work I would totally be there. You haven't Auto-x'ed till you have driven on a course that Frank designs. Like John said, it was worth the 120 mile drive (1 WAY) to drive with this group. You will not be disapointed!!!!!
