August 11th, Golden Gate Fields Autocross!
Ok, so I've been trying to get some more interest in the joint Team Sol/S2KI meet. So, we're going to change the plan in hopes of getting more people to come. So, on August 11th, there is an SCCA Auto Cross event at Golden Gate Fields. We would probably make the afternoon run, which would mean that we all would have to be there at 11:30(ABSOLUTELY NO LATER). Also, we all would have to apply to SCCA before hand... There is a $25 charge to race, just fyi... Great, hope to see lots and lots of stooks there.

You should be able to have SCCA fax you a temporary card withing a day or two... I'm not sure how everything works... I've never Auto-xed either and I haven't even seen the SCCA form

Wow! someone else campaigning for SCCA autocross events. Well, you know I'll be there as always, except I'm running in OSP-N because of my X-brace...
Come on guys, it's fun, safe, and LEGAL...so why not come and at least see what it's about. Carving the mountains is fun, but you'll never really gain a good sense of controlling the car unless you do it under these controlled race situations.

Glad to see more interest... I'll be there with a bunch of sols and stooks, so it should be a good showing... the website talks of non members being able to race for $35... is this correct?

last year in the slush season I think it was, you could race without a membership, or you could get one just for that day...or something like that. But then they changed it because there was too many ppl coming to the events who weren't regular members, so now you need a membership to race. I got my speed freakz within 2 weeks of sending it in though.
