one of these days... I will have one

I'm not in a huuuuuge hurry but I will eventually get one

Just having a hard time figuring out what to buy... I don't want to have to buy a ton of cameras looking for the one that will work best for me. They are a tad expensive

Great tips! To cite one of your tips, I had a great shot of my S2K that showed the vents of my CF hood real nice and the contrast between the paint on the hood. I tried on several occassions to emulate the shot but no success. I then realized it was because I took the original shot at sunset! During the day it's hard to take a shot without the CF reflecting kind of weird and day shots always shows the weave (which i dont like) and makes the hood look grey.

guys, another tip for night shots.

Shoot in RAW. Much easier to adjust the white balance in RAW, so you don't lose any color fidelity. It's always best to get a neutrally colored light source, but if you can't do that, shooting in RAW will help you be able to adjust white balance later.

Picasa and Lightroom both have decent white balance adjusters, but with JPGs they are both lossy.
