you dont need to make a custom bracket or inlarge the hole on the ap2 headlight if you get the ap2 ballast and ignitor. if you plan to reuse your ap1 ballast and the ignitor then you need modify the ap2 headlight and have a bracket for the ballast.

Swapping tail lights is not an easy job. You have to cut parts of the sheet metal and modify the connectors.
