Since your car is an AP1, I'd go with AP1 because in the future all original looks better to a prospective buyer. But if you are going to change it, might as well go the extra 9 and go a/m.
I like the AP2 bumpers, more photogenic, but in person it's all about the AP1.

...or find a shop that will order the ASM front end for you all hush hush 
(and get it painted suzuka blue) and I'll trade you my front end off of my '04 that has a OEM lip on it already...think about it

ASM is $1200+ and fiberglass. OEM is less than $400. if I lived in the burbs I would consider but SF roads and parking is not that great.
