what do you know about SIPs? i'm builing a home with them now.
It's just another way to save money in the long run. Sorta makes an Green House effect. It works just like Dual Pane Windows. Insulates. Its a 3 layer material. Usually its two layers of O.S.B. ( Oriental Strand Board ) . The layer in the middle is a foam layer usually made from polyurethane (body kits for the s2k!). Basically just another layer of insulation to the house. Block heat from the outside in the summer keeping the house cool inside and keeps the house warmer in the winter by blocking out the cold air. Helps in a lot of ways, save money and energy. Sorta new to home construction, they used to be hand made but then it went into production.

Can't really describe it but since you're building a home with it you should know what I'm trying to say. Usually its two layers of O.S.B. ( Oriental Strand Board ) . not bad. SIP, structual insulated panel, are are a great way to build. i'm saying this because i work for a company that sells INSULSPAN panels in several western states. you would find their site interesting. pm me for more info on SIPs if your interested.

Yeah, anything that can insulate the house does wanders in the long run. You're getting a home built using SIPs?

Have you guys ever dawn on Desktop 3.3? It's so much better than autocad, well maybe not better than the Autocad 2006 LT. You ever seen the rendering those programs can do?? It looks so real...
