Default anyone in the monterey area?

So this weekend is valentines day and im taking the gf down for a couple days... besides seeing the fish and shit at the aquarium what else is cracking down there? fun? romantic? :] how far is the drive down to monterey from in the city.. sometimes those map quest and gps shit says some pretty jacked up times... im just wondering anyone with some help is much appreciated :]

The warf is cool.. as well as downtown. (right next to eachother really). Also.. check out the boardwalk, it's about a 30 min drive.. but could make for a nice day out (pending weather).

I'd say it's about and hour and a half to two hours from the city, 'cause from Fremont area it's about an hour twenty with no traffic

Carmel is a bit better, more stores (cute little shops for the misses), lots of little places to eat, the beach, a bit more romantic and you can stay at a B&B. I think it's about half hour to fourty five minutes further on 1.

check the weather before you go...supposed to be raining a lot starting this weekend.

^^ yeah with the weather pending, there's the 13 mile drive or whatever its called and this really good (expensive) place you could take her to eat, its called Passion Fish.

yeah i realize that... but its v day i made reservations to holiday inn already... hahah cheapest i can go... hyatt quoted me 1400 before tax for 2 nights
