Hi im flying in from Oregon with a friend thats really interested in picking up a local s2k in the bay area. Just wondering if anyone knows about the the history of this car? Anyways hopefully we can meet up with the owner for a test drive tomorrow and pick it up just, wanted a heads up about it.

Never seen the car. 7K is a definite possibility as paint and cost of oem replacements are not cheap. Tires alone can rack up 600-700 for 18's paul xp

c-west lip w/ seibon hood..skunk 2 suspension as in the whole coilover?
should get the receipts for the paint (if he still has them)

55,xxx miles car w/ all those mods for only $9,500? something sounds iffy about that. don't stock ap2 s2000's go for $13,500 with 70,xxx miles?
i don't know any ap2 that has that many miles yet lol

where is he located? maybe one of us can go check it out ourselves and take some pics to make sure it's real and not a scammer

 

I agree. Sounds iffy. Also why just (Bay Area) in the post. Usually legit sellers would put in the actually location. Did you already contact the seller? Did he say he was out of town or in a different location and the car can be shipped to you?

 

it doesnt sound iffy to me. people are poor these days, they sell things for a lot less than they should. i recommend a local member checking it out for you, before you waste money flying out and being disappointed.

about the 2000 models does anyone know anything about the burnt exhaust valve? also emailed the guys about his car hopefully its legit
