I got my bumper hit while I was parked , but fortunately I have got the info of the person involved so thats good. Now I've got to find a good body shop and the archives have several listed in the south bay, but can any of you guys recommend anything in San Francisco or maybe Berkeley? thanks a ton for your help!

How bad is the damage???

Here are a couple I would recommend.
1. Anchor Detailing and refinishing.(650)579-2776 1008-B Carolan Ave. Burlingame CA 94010
2. Image Autobody (650)755-8324 1687 Mission Rd. S. San Francisco CA 94080
3. Elite Autobody Experts Inc. (650)871-2461 233 S. Maple Ave Unit 12 S. San Francisco CA 94080

If the damage is really bad you can try either 2 or 3, but if its just paint with minor body work go to 1.

In turns of my experiences, I work at a dealership, and we use 1 all the time for detailing and minor work and they are excellent. The service is good and they work on alot of expensive cars, and they know how to take care of the cars. All detailing is done by hand, and I've never seen my car so clean. Talk to Andrew.

I used 2 to fill the holes where the H badges are and repaint the front bumper and trunk lid, cuz some punk stole my badges They did an ok job color match is really close(I have GP White) you can only tell upclose to the car that there is a slight color difference. And they have a money back guarantee Talk to Phil

I haven't used 3 but I've seen there work and its good. From what I understand the guy used to work for california concepts and he is really meticulous about his work. I was told that if you don't like the job he'll do it again. Don't know anyone specific to talk to.

Sorry its so long but ne ways sorry bout the accident, hope this is helpful! and close enough for you to utilize.

Good luck

The damage is kinda between a a scratch and a ding- the paint is chipped off in a couple places and there is a square "imprint" of the corner of the other car's license plate holder, not incredibly deep, but it is there- do you think a detailer like your #1 could deal with that? can dentpro do a bumper? thanks for the help!

I think dent pro does paintless repairs. But yeah #1 can do that work, I have the same problem actually, Some guy's trailer hitch backed into my front bumper not bad, it actually looks like a big dead bug from 5ft or more away. So I hope this helps

I recommend Korea Auto Body in San Francisco on Bryant St. I had my S2k worked on there when this Dumb Saab hit me. Anyways, I would hook you up if you choose to go there. The owner of the shop is my uncle. They matched my Berlina Black.. 99.9%. Trust me on this shop. Let me know.~

Go to Bush and Franklin in San Francisco. The place is Cars Dawydiak. I have seen them work on Ferrari's, Porche's, Panoz, Quavale, etc. . . I was the first S that they worked on and it came out immaculant. I would only suggest this place if you are going through your insurance, since quality comes at a price.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I ended up taking my car to anchor auto body and the guys there are really friendly and definately know their stuff.

Since it is on someone else's insurance, I am not as incredibly attentive to cost, but now I guess I have to decide how well I want this fixed.

apparently the shop can get it almost perfect for like 400-500 dollars, but to get it perfect, I gotta get a new bumper+ painting which is like 1200....hmmm....how nice a guy should i be...

thanks again for all of the help guys!
