I've been cited 3x already, Twice with CHP and another with Daly City PD. Each time I had them signed off at Palo Alto's PD. Someone from the front desk would come out and look at the plate then sign my ticket off. No charge all 3x.

Guess I'll wait for the courtesy notice. Zip tie or something the plate and get it signed off. It's just a damned hassle.

Is there a limit to how many fix-it tickets you can get signed off? not just for the front license plate thing but like exhaust, tint, etc.

hmm i dont think theres a limit to how many of them you get as long as their paid and signed off. i just know if you had a no front ticket, and lets say you got another ticket for the same violation, im pretty sure you get state reffed.

hey gary, If i still worked in the city i know a cop that would do it. Unfortunately I don't think i can hang out at starbucks in the city long enough to make sure i find him since i have to commute there. I'll ask around and ask you in class if i can get a hold of someone

So if you get a no front license plate violation, and you pay that off; and maybe a couple months later you get another one, you'll be in big trouble? (possible point on driving record?)

no no if you get a front plate ticket, and then you dont do anything for it, like you ignore it or something and you get the same ticket again. so you have two total tickets for the same violation then i think you get state reffed.

Or the citing officer (if he knows you have priors for that violation) can check a box that makes it a "non-fixable" ticket.
