Default Anyone have the Fastline Performance Hardtop locks?

So I recently picked up a set of the Fastline Performance Hardtop Locks. As it seems to be the case for many, I am unable to push the locking pin closed due to a lack of clearance on the inside of the latches. Unfortunately, the installation instructions don't offer any tips for resolving this scenario. Have any of you encountered this problem? If so, what was your solution?

It's a very difficult task with the oem hardtop.
There is not much space there but is def possible.
Just need to learn how to maneuver your fingers in there...

Can you take a pic of what you are talking about?
Sometimes you just need to wiggle the latch a little then you can push that pin in. Unlocking the locks is harder than locking it so if your having a hard time locking it, good luck unlocking it.

I have a set of these locks, and had the same prob. What I did was pull the aluminium as far from the striker I could. With the piece as far as possible, I'm able to push the lock button down.

My hardtop locks came with 2 sets of keys, one set of keys were modified to be placed in the lock at a right angle. These are what I use to unlock on my oem hardtop.

Did you ever get this figured out Rob? I just received mine (came with 2 regular and 2 right-angle modified keys) and plan to install tonight. I'll be sure to post up about the installation and if I encounter the same problem.

Just installed mine in about 10 minutes with no issues. Had to use the provided plastic washers because the button was shaky without them.

Also, the locking pin didn't want to go in at first, but i pulled the button out all the way and this allowed the locking pin to be pushed in fully. While holding the locking pin in, I just closed the latch and it was locked.
