My DSL disconnects every night at 11:00pm and it is hurting my post count. Instead of having to pay SBC to fix their own damn service, I'm planning to just switch to Comcast internet...

Does anyone here use comcast and Vonage or any other VOIP provider? I am just wondering if there are any stability issues when combining the two. I heard something about comcast trying to make Vonage not work as good so you will buy their phone service...

I know it can mess up VOIP if you are doing a big download while on the phone so, I won't be talking while surfing for pr0n...

I have comcast and no issues. Very fast and I've been a customer since day one.

I have comcast cable, base tier, 4Mbps/378Kbps. Its ok, it used to be far more reliable, to the point where it rarely ever goes down. this past year its been iffy, however, it is still better than bay area DSL

Comcast works really really well at my parents house. Torrents go up to 600-700kb/s which is pretty amazing.

Have DSL at the appartment and it blows.

i used to have packet 8 with dsl, sucks! well anything will sucks unless your router has QoS if comcast can prioritize voice over data then thats good.... well i guess now they got better, i had mine when vonage and other home VoIP started and it sucked..... when ever im talking on the phone and opening a webpage (i.e big $$$$$$ pics) my phone gets cut off

i use my Cisco IP communicator now anywhere.

i have comcast and vonage, and have no problems. have had it for 4 months, and have probably only had lack of phone 2x for 5min each as the cable went down.

love vonage! voicemails get forwarded to my email, so i can play them right out of my email at work.
