i have hardtopguy's gears and basically choose this one because it's been out for some time and failure issues don't seem to happen. Some of the other vendors have the same gear ratio and i'm not saying they're of any less value but they haven't been out longer than others. So really it's just a matter of preferance.
The question is would you buy the same part for x amount of dollars from mexico per se but not having the know the background or would you spend a lot more for the same part overseas in japan and it has info dating back to some time?
I plan on keeping this set of gears as long as I can so i went with a reputable vendor.

hey, just out of curiousity....
S2000 stock gear is: 4.10 ?
So if you have a 4.57 gear, that is going to be faster than stock but in 6th gear cruising speed, I find my RPM at 80 mph is 5000 rpm
So if you have 4.77 gear, will the 6th gear cruising rpm be even higher?
The reason I ask is that I find 5000 rpm for long trips is kinda loud already - sure it's nice not having to downshift but I want it quiet for long trips. Just wondering how you guys stand the noise with a 4.77 gear?
I'd love to hear comments on this one
thanks
rick

[QUOTE]i love them, i don't daily drive but getting anywhere requires me to take the freeway. That being said i'm guessing you mean 65-70mph what rpm's it's at?? well if that's what you mean you're looking at 4500 rpm at those speeds. You're looking at 5,500 rpm at 80mph
