sup guys,

I wanted to know if anyone has 4.77 gears....What do you think about it? How commuting with it? etc etc... Want to meet up and help a fellow bay area s2ki'er out?

i'm debating either 4.77 or 4.57, i've driven 4.57 (thanks beanolo) but I want to feel 4.77s. Anyone want to take me for a drive, or better yet, let me test drive?

If you want, you can drive my stocker!!

i ordered my reinforced pumpkin with 4.77's from hardtopguy a month ago and he said it was supposed to ship this last monday/tuesday.. i'll be putting em in as soon as i get them. i'll let ya know how they are where in the bay are you at? i'm in the east bay but i'd have no probs givin ya a ride.. maybe at one of the upcoming meets, i have yet to go to one.


i've done tons of research on them and i know this is the choice for me. they raise rpms by about ~600-700RPM in each gear so you can guess what the differences would be.

BADASS. I'm in the east bay too. I want to 4.77s i'm just concerned with freeway mpg, as I commute approx 50 miles a day. I don't drive 80 mph on the freeway anymore ...( I know WTF).

gears shouldn't affect your MPG too much. it is your throttle load that would determine how much fuel you are burning up. gears are more fun, so more than likely you'll be stepping on the gas more

I understand that mpg is directly related to throttle, however doesn't higher cruising rpms = low mpg as well.

Higher engine rev's would mean increased throttle input, so yes, lower fuel milage.
