Well if lojack uses analog cell phone signals then forget it. FCC is mandating that analog cell phone networks be shut down by 2009.

I ended up getting Mobile Guardian from the dealer where I got my car, I'm sure there are other similar services.

my car came with lojack, but i wish i didn't have it.. i wouldn't really want to find it if it were slolen..

insurance (AAA, farmers, etc, big insurance companies) will reimburse you for your mods as long as you have very clear transaction records.. like receipts or solid agreements (pm's.. etc etc)

^which is why you should record your transactions..
