I've been to similar events, and no the hospitality package isn't really worth it, you get to park in a parking lot thats a 3 minute walk closer. And you get some food at a big tent that's not even close to the track with TVs in it. And it's probably like 5x the cost of just a normal ticket.

I'm not going to the festival of speed this year I'm going to the monterey historic races and the ALMS race. And this year I'm NOT making the stupid decision to take home a racing slick, those things are ****ing heavy and brutal to carry around.

LOL, um, I'm not sure if you've ever been to Laguna Seca, but it's a challenge just to walk up that hill let alone carry a racing slick up there.

The only time i've ever taken home a race tire was when I was 10 at Sears Point and got a tire from Dale Earnhardt Sr and he autographed for me. The only way I would take home a tire now is if Phil Hill and Jim Hall autographed it. Those guys are enginering marvels.

Spotted a Sebring AP1 with red interior, CE28's and Ricks badges parked up on the way to the corkscrew today.

perfect weather today and rolex grandam cars cool, fast, and loud. also, rx8's were holding their own against porsches, gtos, corvettes, ferraris, etc. it was first in gt class before i left for the day. definitely checking it out next year.
