Wish my house was ready so I could actually play GT5 on the 24th.

I want it... but I also know (thanks to the S) there's no way I could enjoy that game with just a controller. I've got a major temptation to nerd out on an entire setup but then I can't help but wonder if it'd be just a waste of $.

Do it, you won't regret it. It's so much more fun to play with a steering wheel and seat setup. I'm currently borrowing one and I don't want to give it back.

so pumped. i like seeing the different wheel setups. Right now, i have my wheel attached to the side of a cheap ikea table. It works, but still sucks.

So how much better is this game than Forza? I don't really know much about video games but was considering picking it up.

I would consider GT5 closer to a true racing sim compared to Forza. Not as hard core as some of the PC sims.
