What??? I thought they pushed it back to Jan 08. I stopped by gamestop last week and seeing it was posted to be released on Jan 08. Anyway I preorder from amazon the collectors edition. Have a G27 and a Playseat waiting on it's arrival.

I've read conflicting stories about whether or not GT5 properly supports the clutch and the gearbox that the G27 uses, so yeah, since that's the real reason for the price difference, I wasn't inclined to go for it.

I want it... but I also know (thanks to the S) there's no way I could enjoy that game with just a controller. I've got a major temptation to nerd out on an entire setup but then I can't help but wonder if it'd be just a waste of $.

Every past date has been far ahead of time, while this one is in just a week. Certainly disc pressing has already happened by now to meet this date, so that's hopeful.
There are even retail copies floating around already. Someone posted a video unboxing a few days ago.
