Default anybody know of good tireshops? hookups perhaps?

well it had to happen eventually, my tread is low and the tires must be replaced. luckily its not all 4. hehe! anyways, i'm looking for a shop or (even better!) a hookup for tires. Normally tire rack would be the place to go. However there's a problem.

I'm looking for a particularly difficult one: 245/45ZR16 Bridgestone S-03

I know they're discontinued but I would greatly appreciate any help anybody on the boards could give me in locating these fine tires. any ideas/shops/offers/deal???? bay area places would be preferable but not necessary.

would offering a lunch/dinner on me to whomever helps me the most spice up the deal?!?! hahaha!

thanks in advance,
rog

Cheapest way to go would be with Tirerack, if you don't mind the wait. I think they had a sale a few months ago. my friend picked up some OEM S02 (or was it S03) for about $100 each for the rears.

Either that, or get the RE-050's if you want something stock(-ish)

My warehouse (supplier) has 2 in TX with 2k miles on them. I'll let you know of cost on them as soon as I get back from work this evening. I have to make a stop myself to pick up my OEM wheels.

They would be installed by America's Tire, I'm friends with the manager and have an extended account from Direct Perf. that I use there (same Franchise).

Oh.. and I'd like some Thai for lunch. ;)

I'm in the market for rear AP1 tires too and I will be ordering at tirerack. It's so much cheaper than buying at a local tire center/shop.

Sorry bud, I got out of work a little past 6. I'll send you the info tomm.

I know I had spoken to some here about interest in a bay area s2k club account with America's Tire. Honestly, there's not much of a difference whom you go with and I have had an account with Tire Rack for several years as well as Disc. Tire. Both haven't failed me yet, I just find it more convinient to price match the reseller cost locally and have it mounted and balanced and be on my (or my buds on their) way.

So go with whomever you feel comfortable with, if you need a help with pricing locally, for tires or mounting.. just let me know. I'll push him to match what he charges me. He's been more than helpful with me and even extended me his cost (even better than my store's disc.) on my first set of tires so I can evaluate them (REO1-Rs). I missed my track day saturday because I was up in tahoe attempting to s-board, but the tires have proven to be decent in the rain.

Thats how much I paid when I had to get my tires remounted. So I guess its average price.
