Post Any tire guy in Nor Cal?

hey guys ...

My mother's Cayenne S needs a new set of tires 255/55/VR18

I want to know if there are any s2ki approved tire guy up in Bay Area.
I do not want to send her to the dealer as they will charge approx. 500 for each tire.

TIA

I might be able to help you (but I'm not a S2Ki approved tire guy, I just get them from a friend who has a wholesale account through TireRack) I'm not positive he'll let me use his wholesale account, but let me know what Brand and Model of the tires your trying to get and I'll see if I can get them for you.

Denis,

Be aware that the OE Tire for that car is rated for XL (Extra Load). Porche is the only place you will be able to pick up the Michelin Latitute Tour HP rated with this load, since there is no availability really (they literally been having a hard time keeping up to the demand on that tire, it's used on M-Benz vehicles as well).

BE VERY CAREFUL if dealing with unexperienced shops that may give you price and availability on the same exact tire that was originally meant for the Acura. The name is the same, but the load rating is quite a bit lower and so is the price ($75-100+ off because that is very overstocked).

You can look to a Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport with the XL rating and should expect a price of $157-170/ tire SHIPPED (plus road hazard insurance, should you need it + Tax).

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have a hard time and I'll push one of the local outlets (America's Tire) to take of your mom.

You can call TireRack and they will hook you up, they can ship to Wheel Techniques which is one of their prefered installers.

Thanks for the input guys ... Thanks for the heads up on the XL rating

Michelin Latitude Tour HP - Looks like a good choice for her. It's a brand that she knows and I hope it last longer than than the stock Pirelli Scorpion Zero
