any recommendations for a good place
Just got my hands on yet another set of brakes that is in dire need of refinishing. Does anyone have any recommendations that are local in the bay area? I'm looking for a place that has superb quality because I cannot afford to replace seals and gaskets (wait time for replacements would kill me) and for a place with excellent customer service ( want to be able to get feedback during the process). Also, a place that could anodize would be preferred.

A place that refinishes calipers will not be the anodizer. Anodizing is a very specific manufacturing process that most people don't like to mess with.
If you find someone to rebuild the calipers... have Tony at Du-All Plating anodize them. I send about $10k through him a month through work. He is the only person that is as anal as I am.
Also, make sure all cosmetic surface have the same surface roughness or style. Otherwise the anodizing will not be uniform.
Also also... make sure they dip the part up and down in the bath when anodizing (think "tea bagging"). If they just leave the part submerged and stationary in the bath, the color will be more intense on any edge of the part. Looks gay IMHO.

What calipers?
and thanks for the recommendation Andrew, I will definitely check them out. As of right now, I am looking at the cost and ETA for replacement gaskets and seals. I am still stuck between refinishing them by powdercoat, or just having them anodized. I think powdercoat would be the easier solution, but I just love the anodized look
