I had a chip back in February repaired..

It was $50 ... I don't know if there are cheaper places, I'm sure there are... but I called a few, that was pretty standard.

It was called "A Clear View"
it's mobile, so they come to your place and fix it in your driveway.

does the repair just fill in the cracks? do you still see where the damage is?

If you search for "mobile windshield repair" you'll find a bunch of places that will come to your work or home and do it. It's a relatively small job so the quality isn't likely to vary much from place to place.

Also check with your insurance provider to see if they offer deductible-free windshield repairs. Many do or at least have a provision for X number of free chips repaired per year.

yeah they fill in the crack with some resin (insert stoner laughter here), you can usually still see the pit, if it's in your line of sight then it's pretty annoying, although i tend to look at the silver lining and think of it as free hallucinogens

a lot of providers will actually refund you if you send them the receipt.

they fill it in with resin, yes. you see a small foggy spot... I can take a picture of mine tomorrow.
but if it's your line of site, it'll bug you... if not, you'll forget about it
