Its worth a long shot. My parents have been planning on investing a small sum into some property around the bay area. If any member is in real estate please feel free to pm me. There is actually many type of investing on properties. Just really depends on what you are doing.

My parents actually own a house in Sac that was past down from a generation ago. They moved to SF before I was born and still have the house under their name. Basically we rent out the ENTIRE house (3 bed rooms, 1 big living room, 1 mini storage room, 2 1/2 bathroom, small yard but garage fits about two cars) for about 4,000 per month. And for the house in SF that we are renting is about 1,500 per month. So we are basically making some profits.

lets just say if your going to invest into houses and rent them out.... be very careful on screening your tenants. lawyer fee is not cheap

house in noe on church $850k. fixer. value prob around 1m (land value) offers today but I can squeeze you in

coming up 3 units on Anza and 3 units on clayton both around 1.1m

SSF:
coming up on mayfair. fixer. 400k and townhome style house also around 400k.
