Nope... I do that for a reason. If I have it in my hands I'm liable to spend it. Meaning I would lose more than just $300.

You could spend an extra $300 and still have $6,000 left over though...

You can set up a sub account and have $250 from each check direct-deposited to that too. ...Just trying to make you money!
