I don't have a clue. All I know is I probably lost power because the K&N FIPK is inteded to be sealed when the hood is down. Had my hood been down I'm sure I would have made a bit more. Instead I grabbed the hot air from the bay.

you're gonna come up with different numbers even on two stock ap1's. a more accurate test would be to have dyno'd the same car with the oem air box/k&n intake back to back.

I just can't justify putting on something that doesn't guarantee improvement. Even 1hp might be ok, but less, forget it. I ended up fixing the stock box with a piece from craigslist.

I agree although I don't plan on doing anything else to the car haha. I wanted it for sound and to cut down the heatsoak and it worked for both pretty well. So all in all I'm happy...

Given there is no legal way to tune my car doing anything more to this just seems pointless. I'd like to not have to worry about swapping ecu's/parts for smog. I sold my Civic and bought the S for a better piece of mind so I'd be defeating the purpose if I started getting heavy into this shit again lol.

VAFC & Greddy E-manage are both smog friendly.


ive passed smog with greddy turbo kit/e-manage.

Bad experience using a vafc on my civic lol.. I couldn't do it again.
