Thanks CRAZY. It is a stock car but the check engine light has been on for a few months. Its for a 4-door Honda Accord. Can you anyone help me out?

pull the code find out what's wrong? The CEL could be nothing and resetting it may be easy. Or the CEL may signal pending serious problem that you might be able to fix now cheap or cost you way more to repair after it fails. Best of all getting the code pulled is free.

Seriously getting a smog tech to look the other way will likely cost you hundreds of dollars. The fix for the problem may be less than that.

Let's be realistic. No one is going to hook up a stranger with their smog hook-up. The risks are way too high these days.

but if you just need the check engine light figured out, that's pretty easy to do on your own
