It's kind of interesting to see what other hobbies we enjoy besides our cars. I get to pick up my Sig this Friday. Woot. I want a rifle for target practice. Any recommendations on a .22?

Mik3, any pics of your tank?

I havent set it up as I want to get a bigger tank now LOL.
I'll let u know when I begin that project.

As far as the next gun, a 22 is cool , so much more cheaper to shoot.

Ruger 10/22, enough said. That is bar far the best entry level 22 that could be taken to the crazy level. Buddy of mine has $1800 into his 10/22 which is nuts being the gun cost $295 new. Crazy stuff like carbon fiber/ stainless barrel, competition trigger assembly's, you name it it can be done to this rifle.

I used to be an avid gun collector and it was nowhere near the cost of car parts. Handguns are really inexpensive these days.

I had the following:

AR-15 A4 with collapseable stock, flare launcher, laser sighting, Seymor Scope with about 10 or so magazines from the 5 round ones to the drums ($3500 with all the add on parts)

Mac-90 Assualt Rifle with 2, 100 round drums and 10, 30 round magazines ($600)

Casul .454 handgun ($1395)

Now keep in mind I bought all of these weapons out of state when I lived in Alaska.

I wanted the Barrett .50 cal Sniper Rifle but it was over $5000 back in the day and they are like $6000+ now...
The Spas 12 shotgun was another one that I wanted but I kind of got out of the gun craze in the late 1990s.

But I had about $5000 into the guns I had...

Here's my pistol of choice.

And I have one of these for messing around at the range.
