Default Any AutoX events near Oakland?

Hey guys
Ive wanted to try out autocross for a while now... Originally i wanted to do some track lessons first, but I'm a little scared of the high speeds i might encounter on the track. I thought what the heck, why not just go for AutoX. I wanted to go to this:
http://norcalautox.com/
but i want to go with my friend, who has as stock NA miata (no factory rollover protection), so he can't go to that.
Does anyone know of any events i can attend within the next month or two(sat/sun only, i have work)? I'd like not to have to drive more than an hour in the morning to get to it, so Im hoping to find some place near Oakland (living in emeryville). Thanks!

There are no more scca autocross events at the coliseum this season. However, there will be 3 events during the slush season at Monster Park in SF, and the final event should be at the Coliseum.

Do the Marina (Monterey) one with us. We should have at least 8-10 S's that day ranging from A-stock all the way to SM-2.

thanks for the links!

as for Marina, thats kind of far for me. I dont really want to drive 2 hrs in the morning at 6am, nor do i want to pay 100+ for a hotel room the day before.

It's almost impossible to enjoy your car responsibly without getting up early and driving a couple of hours. But, believe me, once you get there and get to know the folks that do it; you'll find it's worth it.
