sorry about your car...thats a real bummer, I hope they get those bastards...as far as the club and another other security device, if those crooks are determined they will find a way around it. I had an alarm in my Supra, they set it off as they were stealing my stereo and yanked it out of the locked glove compartment where I kept the alarm unit.

i've seen a tow truck drive tow a car that was in gear and the ebrake on. he just dragged it along to get it up on the flatbed.

As far as dragging the car with the tow truck- yes, it seems very possible. However, I think it would be more difficult to hook-up, and would definitely attract more attention.
Also, if it is possible, somehow, to hot-wire the car, it should prevent that.

So are cops even aware that cars are stolen this way nowadays and be more suspicious of tow truck drivers? Do you have to have a special license to own a tow truck? I'd like to buy one j/k

oh jus an update! i got my car back finally and its at the body shop at the moment. when i got my car out it was missing front/rear bumper, the left side of my hks exhaust is gone. i was left only the middle canister and right side. side markers gone, deck, carbon fiber hood cracked and my whole car got scratched up. they didnt mess with my intake or headers. my car looked like it was dragged out from a swamp. it was so dirty
