sorry about your car...thats a real bummer, I hope they get those bastards...as far as the club and another other security device, if those crooks are determined they will find a way around it. I had an alarm in my Supra, they set it off as they were stealing my stereo and yanked it out of the locked glove compartment where I kept the alarm unit.

Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your car. But how do they bypass and start the car without the key?

Not really sure but you're probably better off asking BlackRoseS2000 via PM in case some of those crooks lurking around in this forum.

wut if you put it in gear and pull the ebrake? doesn't that prevent the wheels in the front and back from moving?

how would this stop them? even if the wheels do not roll, won't they just drag it out with the wheels locked up?

i've seen a tow truck drive tow a car that was in gear and the ebrake on. he just dragged it along to get it up on the flatbed.

I'm pretty sure this will only lock the rear wheels.

As far as dragging the car with the tow truck- yes, it seems very possible. However, I think it would be more difficult to hook-up, and would definitely attract more attention.

Also, if it is possible, somehow, to hot-wire the car, it should prevent that.

So are cops even aware that cars are stolen this way nowadays and be more suspicious of tow truck drivers? Do you have to have a special license to own a tow truck? I'd like to buy one j/k
