From a pshychological stand point, the sellers are upset that the buyers UNDERVALUE their products.
^^^^This is the heart of the matter.

Being able to put yourself outside a transaction emotionally and psychologically is key to negotation. Letting yourself get offended by an offer that you consider too low is just as problematic as letting a car salesman talk you into an extended warranty because "most of our customers that can afford this amount of luxury get the extended warranty." In both cases, you are letting personal feelings interfere with being objective.

Your stuff is only "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it. This is why ebay is such a great enterprise: Free market economy at its best

the cooler weather should help with your low ball problem, if not
a cold shower can sometimes help..

I agree, not setting a price for a FS item is much worst than low balling. I don't even bother to read those FS post that says "make an offer" If you can't decide how much you want for your stuff, don't sell it!

I don't agree to some of you because what if you don't know value for the certain items you selling?
If you don't know the value of the items you're selling, then how do you know when an offer is "lowball"?

You can either name your price and see if anyone bites, or say "make an offer" and see what people think your product is worth to them. If you say "make an offer", don't get mad when someone makes an offer.
