Default Almost totaled my S

A M3 (the one before the current one) lines up next to me tonight and I thought it would be a good car to race. He's staring and what not so i give him the nod. We punch it when it turns green. I pull on him by 1/4 car length and by the time I redline in first i'm 1/2 car up on him. Right before I redline I shift into second and...

thats when all of a sudden my S pulls to the left. I jumped the center median and landed on the other side of the road. Thank GOD that there was no on coming traffic. My friend behind me said that my S literally flew over the median.

checked under the car...no visible damage. Control arms look ok.Got some curb rash on my rims but my tires did not even pop. Front lip is cracked and my car needs an alignment.

lesson learned: strictly taking it to da track. That was freakin ridiculous. I have no idea why my S turned left after I shifted into second. It happened so freakin fast.

I totally deserve it. I just want to know what possessed my S to slide to the left after shifting to second. I hope this is not something common.

tire pressure is good. I checked it not to long ago.

It's something common if you don't:

1. Respect the wet
2. Respect the limits of your tires in the wet
3. Respect the fact that your tires loose a buttload of grip when it's <40 degrees outside.

As far as it sliding to one side vs. another, it's just whatever the road or slick spot dictated. Don't try to read more into it in cold/wet weather. If it does that on clean dry pavement at 70 degrees, then you've got issues.

Lastly. . . street racing is like the Special Olympics; even if you win, it's still retarded.
