I'd like to go Oct 26 for my b-day, but since it's my first time with NASA would it be possible to go to Oct 7-8, run in group 1 and try to run Oct 26 in group 2?
It would be my first time running w/ NASA but I would have a couple of S.V. events under my belt. Does this sound ok?

With NASA he would have to start out as group 1 and after the 1st
or 2nd session he would get signed off to group 2, depending on what the
instructor thinks of his driving skills and understanding of HPDE track rules.
He should do it the right way, get his passport and get it signed off...
Otherwise if he starts at level 2 he would have to get a passport and explain
why he wasn't signed off from level 1 to level 2.
Since he already has some experience, it shouldn't be a problem form him
to be signed off and move up to level 2 on the same day, on Oct 7th...
Besides by going on Oct 7-8 he will get more track time and
therefore more fun, skill and experience gained.

If you've done a couple of events already with SV, then I don't see why you just don't start with NASA in group 2.
