Clifford 2.5 is an awesome alarm, and very highly recommended. I had mine done last week at BSP, Bay Area Street Performance in SF for my s2k. It's right off Industrial and he gave me the best price. His name is Chris.

great thread, thanks for the suggestions. we saw a neighbor at the grocery store the other day, she told us she had her car stolen right out of her driveway. we park our S2K in the garage, but having an additional mesaure of security will make us feel more comfortable.

[QUOTE=jarod,Aug 23 2004, 10:07 PM] I got a Clifford G5 alarm with proximity sensor and it's great. I disagree on alarms being useless.

I'm not sure why the Honda factory alarm does not have a hood release lock or a sensor on the hood itself. Did they forget they were building a convertable?! If I park top down, someone can reach over, release my hood, and disconnect my battery. Has anyone found a solution other than prox sensors to solve this shortcoming?
i've been thinking of that ever since i got the S. All it takes is reach in, pull, open!!!

Ya, it's a lot more worrisome than coming back to find some punk disposed of their gum in my seat.
