Yes the $190 I paid was part and wide open tuning. $450?? I wouldn't pay that much

Funny how it's assumed that all prices would be the same, or else something is wrong/shorted/incorrect. Sounds like you just got a great deal on your tune! More power to ya! Pun intended!

$450 is cheap for street/partial throttle/wot tune!!!!
my old tuner charged $350 a hour..$250 each additional. took him 2 hour to finish the base map and wot, and 2 additional for street fine tuning.

When I had my EVO X I was tuned @ Works in Infineon. $250 and a road datalog with me driving. And you say $450 is cheap??

Learn to drive first. Seriously. Nothing you can slap on the car is going to make you any 'faster'
Just show up to a group drive and take a look at how many people have 'pretty' bolt ons, lowered, stretched tires etc and than cannot take a turn. Drive in the slow groups etc etc IMHO modifications are overrated, unless you can actually drive fast first. Once you're at the limit of stock, than improvements make sense.
As for why they're expensive, they're not at all.
