I say just live in between the two big cities. San Bruno (next to SFO), Burlingame, Millbrae, San Mateo. Try to find a place closer to the 280 than the 101, because everyone knows how much faster traffic moves on 280

San Mateo County isnt cheap by the way (well except for San Bruno) ...
