I work in Sunnyvale and live in San Francisco. I hate the commute and plan to move to the South Bay. Mountain View and Palo Alto are really nice cities, and you would be super close to work.

I cant afford those two cities so I am mainly looking at Santa Clara.

I just think San Francisco is overrated. Too crowded, nowhere to park, stupid taxes added to your cellphone bill, high utility costs, overcrowded schools, ....

Traffic shouldn't be that bad coming from Fremont to Mountain View if you can get up a little bit earlier than 8.

My personal experience.

I do 237 already. it sucks at 7am all the way past 10.
