Default ACDetailing: 1967 Eleanor Mustang

This was a real treat to work on. It wasn't a full court press, just a simple one step as follows:

Gloss-It One Step Machine Polish
Flex DA
JETseal109

Befores:

During:

Afters:

(Teasers of what's next )

As always, C/C Welcome!

looks good. being a detailer myself at Mazda Subaru, doing a walkaround on that car (from your pics) I would take the wheels and tires off, and for a complete job, use some tire shine on the wheel well covers (seeing a nice shiny car with dirt grey wheel wells just doesn't seem like the job is done)

and also just washed off the tires, not with tire shine, since that sometimes causes the tires to wear down faster, but at least with water, so they are black again.

Nice Mustang. Did someone build it to look like 'Eleanor'? Or do they sell them??

Ferrari F430. Must. Own. One. Someday.

My buddy Mike at Maier Racing makes a fiberglass body kit for the Eleanor. Supersnake performance actually bought somewhere like 30 kits from them to put onto their cars and then sell them as Eleanor's. Jason Giambi has one, and American Chopper did a motor cycle fashioned after the car.

I would love to see your work at the car dealership . As far as taking the wheels/tires off. We're a mobile operation and the liabilities of taking the wheels off is too much to deal with, and the stains on the mag finish don't come off. They've been on the car since the current owner bought them. And I'm sure every car you do you take the tires of the wheels too . Also, why would you put tire dressing on the painted surfaces? Or even plastic. That's what plastic DRESSINGS are for, not TIRE SHINE.

And as far as tire shine wearing down the tires. That's because you're using tire shine with silicone in it, but that doesn't surprise me. The tire shine we use is water based so no ruined tires.

Thanks for the comment though!
