Default access to a hoist

Guys,

I live in the bay area, looking to rent access to a hoist and do my own fluid changes. Lifting the car on jacks level is a pain in the butt for me and fairly dangerous in earthquake country.

Anyone know where you can go rent a hoist for an hour and do your own work?

Rob

don't know if i'd rent a hoist or a garage stall just to change fluids, might be kind of expensive for a fluid change.

Good luck. I really doubt anyone is going to want to take the risks involved here.

It is really not that bad/dangerous putting the car on 4 jack stands. You can do diff/tranny/motor in 30 minutes with the right tools.

hard to find because of liability issues and insurance not covering.

any tips to raising the car up on jacks?

Start with the front and lift the rear last?

i did it side by side due to space, but we did it slowly with someone monitoring both sides. used 4 honda jack points, we jacked up the driverside first and got the jackpoint into the groove on the jackstands and then proceeded with the other side
