FYI

Only MAJOR accidents are reported to Carfax.

Price to car ratio....your waisting your time

If this car was 16500-17000 or lower I would suggest you consider it after you cover all the bases....

But at 20k...forget it

Try not to be in a hurry.
Frankly, this is the best advice.

Hey, dead-bird, do you mind if I steal the VTEC inside part of your sig?

If a body panel is missing the VIN sticker like the dealer said, I would not pay 20k for it. When I bought my s2000, I didn't know much about them, but I knew that every body panel had a VIN sticker. If this car is missing one, it's already a lower than normal value to me. I mean it's obvious the panel was replaced and probably not by honda. Plus there's fishy mileage...

Don't like the interest rates, color of the car, or anything else lull you into buying something that could potentially be a disaster later.

this is actually completely incorrect information, the truth of the matter is that carfax and other companies like it gather all their data from what is recorded by the dmv...and the dmv gets its info any time u use ur insurance and the total cost is over 750 bucks.... this number actually recently went up from a previous 500...and being a claim adjuster and having access to the ultramate software used to write an estimate including labor...i can tell u that if u have to replace a fender alone....u will spend well over 750 bucks...consider a ur car gets hit and ur front bumper tears...not a huge tear but say 3 inches....so i replace ur bumper aftermaret for about 250...give the time for labor, which in the bay area is an average of 71 dollars an hour for body 80 for mechanical, to refinish the bumper (paint it) and the time to install it, then i gotta pay for the paint, hazardous waste and other california specific requirements....ur lookin at something over 750, could be even more if u drive like a bimmer whose bumpers come in 40 different parts....so in reality anything reported to carfax doesnt HAVE TO BE A MAJOR accident only, it could be something not that big like a fender bender that someone decided would be better to pay the 500 bucks instead of paying the 800 or the 900....when it comes to prices of accidents, and repair there arent many that fall under 1k...least nothing ive seen in my line of work.

also if the shop is good quality, that car will meet honda factory specifications, as in if it came up in the honda assembly it should pass every test the new cars next to it would. so a car isnt totalled or wrecked or gone just because it crashed so long as a the right shop makes the repairs...if i were going to buy this car id research the shop where it was fixed, their work and what not...how ever regardless of all of that...20k is still alot...might as well spend the extra money and go new
