You forgot to reset the ECU didn't you?

Also that could have been a old batch of 95. The very high octanes don't get emptied and refilled as often so you could just end up with bad gas.

i mix half half 100/91 sometimes from almaden 76. i always reset if coming from a full 91 tank. butt dyno doesnt say much, but low throttle response seems much better like the point where the car will inject fuel or whether it'll begin to engine brake. i like the results. duno if its worth mixing half half though.

Theoretically, throttle response would be worse with higher octane. It burns "slower" but the response you are feeling can be the added timing. Also the first gallon or so of gas would be pretty useless since it runs pretty rich when you reset the PCM at first.

if thats true my theory is shot to hell lol. i read around the forum that our cars can take up to 94-95 octane before it won't do anything different, so i guess i'm thinking bigger number = better lol.i mix half half and i get around 95 a little more, so its right on the money. sure as hell wouldnt go down in octane.

There's a place called ERC Racing Fuels on the San Leandro/San Lorenzo border (Lewelling Blvd just past the BART tracks coming from E.14th). They sell 104 but you can't fill directly since its technically illegal for street use. You have to either bring your own container or buy one from them.

I've heard that the 76 by Dougherty Rd/Dublin Blvd sells 100 too, but I haven't checked.
