Out of curiosity with these noise rules; do your times simply not count for anything or do you have to leave the track? I wanna track mine soon but there's no way in hell I could make a pass at a decent rpm at 92db

I'm going to just relax and run the two 30 minute sessions Monday, watching you guys do your thing.
As for the 92 db limit, I don't believe they show leniency at the track. You do loose your runs for the rest of the day and there will probably not be a refund. It's best to contact Dave at NCRC, he'll let you know which days have no db limit.
I'd imagine the folks across the valley will be out in force bbqing and wouldn't appreciate noise that day, so they will probably checking sound from the booth (which I think is right after 5).

Laguna Seca is very strict about sound. The track group has zero control over that as sound checks are run by the Parks department.
You have three chances to get your sound below 92db. After the third time, you are banned from the track for the day. Game over. Zero refund.
Sound check are typical done at the booth between turns 5 and 6, however they do have mobile sound meters and have been known to deploy them at other parts of the track.
