That is exactly why I use the Hybrid style harness. Most 5 & 6 point harness with the buckle directly under the cam lock alway put a lot of pressure on the package. The hybrid style sub straps actually are designed to wrap around your inner thigh, thus making it more comfortable to strap in. I would not even worry about this happening with the hybrid harness. However, it does take a minute to get all the junk situated before snugging down the straps haha!

Both drivers walked away from crash. The driver that caused the crash was wearing a HANS device and from what I recall suffered from minor bruising from the HANS device. The driver that got t-boned was sore. He was using a cheap Kirky and no side head protection.
Every thing you do has risks, no matter how much you try to minimize it. Even trying to minimize it produces other risks. (If you think these guys would have been better off with a 3 point harness you are sadly mistaken)
I will continue to use 6pt! The safety it provides far outweighs the harm they could cause.
