6-30-2012 NCRC at Thunderhill
I had the pleasure of attending the 6-30-2012 NCRC track day at Thunderhill. It was a complete blast. No, I didn't track my car, but I got a chance to ride in Martin's and Brian's s2000s, and watched a whole ton of cool cars lapping the track. I mounted my GoPro for two of Brian's runs, and one of Martin's runs.
I made the mistake of wearing shorts to the track. I was not able to ride along in my first attempted passenger ride, so I had to scramble to Walmart. I picked up some snazzy Wrangler jeans for $20.
Brain was a beast on the track in his class. In my ride along, he probably passed a dozen cars, and worked that supercharged s2000 very well despite some clutch issues.
Martin was unbelievable. His best time with me in the car was 2:02 (cyclone). Martin and this decked out yellow corvette were playing around for several laps...the highlight of my day!
All the usual players (Edwin, Anish, etc) were in attendance. I had a great time. Cool people, cool cars!
I'll embed some of the s2000 pics below...since this is an s2000 website.
All the pics I took can be found here:

I'll also work on embedding the videos ASAP. With 8 gigs of data to upload, this is going to take a while...

Thanks man, these are all the original shots, non edited, from my little point and shoot non-DSLR camera. My lighting always seems to bright. I'm shooting in the basic "auto" mode for everything.
I'm too broke. I've really had to cut back on spending, and driving all together lately. I spent about $2,000 on four tires plus repairs (broke axle and associated parts) within the last month. I'm still building up my inner momentum and inspiration by attending track days and begging for ride alongs. The community has been very supportive of inspiring me (thank you to all those who have let me ride along so far on the past two track days I attended). Once my money is in line, and I can financially justify it, I'll be on the track!

Just finished the final upload of Martin's battle with the yellow vette on the track, this is an absolute must see. The cars were inches from each other, and trading passes for several laps.
