go check out the TV at a retail store before you buy it online. picture quality varies greatly w/ flatscreens. I stress this point.

Reasons I'll never buy an LCD TV

1. the contrast sucks ass, blacks are grey
2. the picture quality starts to wear after about a year and gets worse.
3. pixelation
Very happy with mine and doesn't exhibit anything of these things.

i'll stick with CRT until the above ^^ gets fixed or plasmas come down in price.
That would be one heavy arse CRT.

35" is way too small for my taste. I've gotten too use to my 55" as it is. I kind of want to move it to my bedroom and get something like a 65" or bigger for the living room.

I guess you will need to come by one of these days and check it for yourself.

my place came with a free 27" crt but there was never anything to watch except live basketball. but after you see it on a huge screen it's hard to go back. it's like comparing a 28 oz steak to some pre-teen steak. so i gave the tv to my folks

that's what i used to think until i saw this 50" plasma playing some hd demo at best buy. i was right up next to the screen and i could not see any of the lines at all. and it was only one of those units with 768 lines of resolution, not one of those new 1080p ones

and a few months ago they were showing a Laker game on a 65" or 70", and i could clearly see Kobe's tattoos. even if i were courtside, i dunno if it would be any better

either that or i'm blind

Oolah! was out shopping for a new tv for the pad today.. stumbled upon a flatscreen at bestbuy, a pz700 panasonic 1080p plasma hdtv, anyone have one of these?

was hoping that there may be someone who knows of a place to purchase one of these, please let me know if so, thanks in advance!

side note.. someone hit my brothers car today on clement.. who does body work up here you guys know? if not, ill have the car taken to LA . thanks also!
I honestly wouldnt go with a Plasma TV. Way to many problems with them and they really arent an upgrade IMO. I have 2, 52 inch LCD TVs. Very clean and sharp with no problems. Downside is your going to pay over $3000 for any decent large flatscreen TV. I would search around. Do you have to have a flatscreen? DLP/Rear Projection HDTV's work great and are a lot less expensive. Thats another route you should try. Good luck.
